This is really not my habit to talk about my private life on this blog but I think that sharing this experience can be helpful.

My experience at the gym: Preamble

So I chose a radical solution: Room Sport (with a capital S) + eat better (when possible). Especially a gym Fitness First has opened at 2 steps from my house (Bd St Germain), with prices much more affordable than the room ultra-luxury Jean de Beauvais.

I, like many of you tank towards the gyms. I did not enter into a subscription of 12 months at an exorbitant price for, ultimately, I feel obliged to go running on a carpet ... You should know that gyms - Fitness First in this case - are really very strong in marketing (you'll understand) ...

So I take a quiet afternoon to go find out. Simply enter the sports club and ask for some information that the machine (very well established) will swallow you alive. A charming welcome and recommended you discuss with you to understand your needs, your goals and your budget. It tells you that everything is possible (for a few seconds, I thought it was carpet seller), then offers a short tour of the owner.

The club is brand new so it's "very beautiful". Sonna, steam room, solarium and new machines.

- How much does it cost?
- No, but another question?

I make him understand that I am interested but my decision will now depend on the price. It comes down, it brings me a flyer with the famous pricing. Rates that are unavailable elsewhere in the room you are therefore obliged to pass through the box "I am devoured by the marketing machine."

I explained that I do not want to get involved and I'm able to reach my goal in 3 months. And then a coach came out of nowhere explains that it is a pity to stop and I'll take the flop if I stop. I approve of the head and confirms strongly that I do not want to hire me for 12 months.

I wonder for a second if he cares about me (where they are hidden cameras?). It takes the fee schedule and strike € 300 € 59 then writes next. At this moment I understand that the machine is really well established: to advertise your client that you've saved € 240 like that of a sudden without doing anything ...     Romain Yo! Frankly, I think I'm older than you and your guts, it's been a while it began to move ... I did like you, listing club med gym ... with CE, cheaper even though it is expensive ... Ca is 4 weeks ... 3 times a week between noon and two easier when taff in the pub because everything happens after ;) ... Well, I have not lost my guts but frankly, I begin to deflate ... well my build is more squarely the same ... muscular arms, pecs, shoulders ... I'm hard-limit now ... ;) ... AND ESPECIALLY when you go out there, you feel really good ;)

    I had almost the same experience except that I did not go to the room of my own.
