The Myth of Blogs

The phenomenon has officially entered the mythology or the Latin, even less Greek, but the contemporary of modern times  (I invent the same time). We live in a world full of ideas at the expense of common sense ...

All that to say that the blogosphere and the media have helped create a myth around the blogs, voluntarily or not. The idea is to make Internet users believe they can make money (lots) with a blog ...

I know some people who read this note, how many of you earn more than 30 € / month? Are you aware that less than 1% of bloggers wins French (really) money with their blog? These 1% of bloggers, your average 5am one day on their blog ...

This is surely why the Skyblog have as much success in France ... Let's talk instead of all the advantages a blog, there would certainly be more real blogs in France!

  • It's true we had a lot of items at this time ... and also an article in Elle, which I heard saying with a blog, the girls were soon full of gifts ...

Funny, I was just reading an article I just found via Blogasty (on the blog Roycod mid September, which dealt Gonzaga Guim some bloggers and crooks - and I saw you it had left some comments) about it. And I think that with news like that, "unveiled to the public, we may increasingly see the arrival of bloggers who swear by money!

To measure the extent of damage, a few days ago I spoke with a contact found in the depths of my msn to which I said I had a blog that spoke a little about the web, etc, etc ... and I had done with dotclear ... One of the first questions was "how you win with? Because I wanted to open one if it wins well! and saw that we can win a lot "...
Well, this contact is not necessarily an example :-P But it surprised me that the topic of money through blogging has arrived almost instantly!

Otherwise, for info, no I did not win any of 30 € a month ... if I take into account, since I my blog I am approaching $ 8-10 per month on average ...

    Good for you aprem ;-)

  • I know the world has no blog because it does not earn enough from the past. Like there's anything in all cases.
Otherwise I think winning over 30 € a month is quite feasible, but more than 400 or 500 becomes more complicated

  • Vincent>> I do not necessarily choose the best post on my blog, it says you also have a ticket on the income of bloggers : roll: (free to you)

Matt>> Indeed, many people have launched a blog without lucrative purposes only think of all the other good things that might make (meetings etc.).

but that I can spend 1 hour or 2 hours to read lesblogs other ..

the bulk for bloggers is the declining dollar, you're beautiful you make 400 or $ 500 per month, but the fall of the dollar is a disaster for us poor bloggers, not even enough to pay my Iphone : sad:

  • It is clear that the lower dollar does not help ... And you're glad when you buy a U.S. site to pay only 20 € instead of 30 $ ^ ^ ... (it's good for morale : lol: )

    Great discovery for me ...
I knew the principle of "wish-list" but absolutely not think we could make money with a blog ... to limit the link between monetary gain / pub I understand but not on the rss feed ...
I learned some work or less in the absence of my participation in the discussion.

  • For my part, I am not yet questioned the pub.

Anyway I think that putting the pub on a blog that does not have many unique visits a day, it serves little purpose.

Finally I say that but I am no more informed than the above it. But what bothers me is that the adsense ads or even BlogBang it's pretty ugly, it just swear on a blog ... Question of view!

At the same time, we can not have a choice in all pubs, it would be too easy.

@ Gonzaga: besides the fact that you speak badly Jerone, his idea is not bad? What do you think?

@ Jenn: I think you're really a hypocrite on the spot ... Have not you won a trip? one dined? full of gifts, thanks to your blog?

  • Frankly, I feel that the main problem when talking about income, is not to say we love what we earn, it is mainly driven by jealousy that they won ...

If I say I earn ten dollars a month, who cares. If Gonzaga (or other) says he earns $ 500 (I say this number at random huh), he said he shared it and everything ... and it's the same thing in real life with the wages. It is frankly a problem with money from us ...

Streaming reports anyway. I started October 6 this year and I already runs around 20 dollars a day just with adsense. If you add other platforms affiliation, it should do well around $ 25 - $ 30/day (Blog bang me back 3euros day too), or around $ 750 - $ 800/month. It can not live in a palace but it helps pay my server projects. After the problem of streaming is that:
    - It is not legal
    - It takes a long time
    - It really takes a long time

So, is it a myth? No, I do not think. Simply create a blog on a subject to potential audience (women, celebrities, funny videos, streaming, tv reality show) ... see Google Trends for knowledge and it is in the box. Lance 3-4 blogs in the genre and you'll see if you're not living.

  • The myth is precisely to suggest that we can make money easily ... You tell yourself to spend considerable time :!:

@ Thomas, when we had the limit of legality, it is indeed easier to make the audiance.

A blog with a potential audience that remains in the legal framework is much harder because there are thousands already in place.

I earn peanuts with my blog because it's something that I does not optimize. In the state that pays a bit more than my hosting. Of course I'm not hearing of Romain, Gonz or other, but not so complicated to make a little pocket money with his blog.

It's a shame if people do not open a blog just for that.

"The idea is to make Internet users believe they can make money (lots) with a blog ..."

Your ticket indicates that the myth is that you can make money with a blog. There is no mention of the time factor.

Is it possible to make money with a blog? yes. Afterwards, must focus may be on the definition of a blog. Is Techcrunch is still a blog? Is it sufficient to use a publishing platform type Dotclear to Wordpress or seen that is in front of a blog?
